  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cheddar cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions, celery, and bell pepper until tender. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika; cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Mix in chopped turkey bacon along with tomato paste, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in bone broth and allow to simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes before serving with your favorite toppings.
