  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (divided)

  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of the crushed peppermint candies and optional chocolate chips.
