Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g fettuccine or linguine
  • 250g shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200ml heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Garlic toast for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Sauté shrimp seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika until pink (about 2-3 minutes per side). Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt more butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes; gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  4. Toss the drained pasta into the Alfredo sauce, then mix in the shrimp thoroughly.
  5. Serve hot alongside steamed broccoli and garlic toast.
