  • 500g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce alternative
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a wok over high heat and stir-fry the marinated beef for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and bell peppers for about 4-5 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and add the sauce mixture. Stir until everything is coated and glossy for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice.
